he Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System provides a set of standards for environmentally sustainable buildings. Among these, laboratory testing for some chemical parameters is part of the certification. CASSEN provides LEED analysis for green and sustainable buildings. Interested parties include:

LEED Consultants
Architects

HVAC Engineers/Consultants

Building Engineers/Consultants

These chemical parameters include the following:

Formaldehyde

Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC)

4-Phenylcyclohexene

Analytical Methods

CASSEN operates strictly according to the requirements of the ISO 17025 Quality Standard as specified under the policies of the AIHA Laboratory Accreditation Program. All of our laboratory analyses are performed in accordance to standard methods such as:

National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)

Health and Safety Executive (HSE)

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
International Standards Organization (ISO)
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA)

In cases where no specific standard method is available for a chemical compound CASSEN, due to their extensive expertise in method development, will validate the compounds using a similar standard analytical method. All modifications to a standard method will be fully documented and validated by CASSEN to demonstrate full conformance with the standard method to include the compound of interest.
